Their latest release, Unsung Hero, is a conceptual five-song EP that reimagines an ancient Anishinaabe creation story. Inspired by the story of the humble muskrat who helps restore the Earth after a great flood, the EP continues Teresa’s journey of reconnecting with their heritage and transforming traditional stories into contemporary music. Each song gives voice to a different character through distinct instruments, tones, and musical textures, creating an immersive story that invites listeners to discover the power in even the smallest heroes.

Unsung Hero follows Teresa’s 2024 debut album, Lost Bird, which began exploring their journey as an adoptee reconnecting with their Indigenous culture and family history.

Teresa’s music has been featured on CBS, SiriusXM’s Indigiverse, and radio stations across the country, while their work has appeared in Native Max Magazine and received three Native American Music Awards nominations. In 2025, Teresa became a Voting Member of the Recording Academy, Class of 2025.
